What do Pet Bloggers spend their money on?
Pet food, cat treats, dog pillows, pet sweaters? Or maybe it’s blogging software, domains, and all that techy stuff? Gadgets? Laptops, mice, and cell phones?
For me it’s coffee or wine and chocolate to get me through the late night writing binges.
What about their time?
Night time is my only time since I have small kids, but that time is spent networking with other pet bloggers, reading and commenting, researching pet products to treat my muses, that would be the cats and dog, of course. They do deserve it once in a while. And cropping, editing, watermarking, tons and tons of pictures.
There’s also sifting through the sea of emails, but best of all, socializing with you, my friends and readers in social media. This also happens to be the hardest task of all because I have to make sure I don’t spend all my time chatting with you or there would be no blog!
Do they shop online?
Yes! Didn’t I say I have no time? That includes going out shopping.
Okay, I can’t speak for all pet bloggers, but I can safely say we are all online much of the time and it’s hard to miss when great new pet products are available or better yet, on sale.
Why do they blog at all?
There are probably as many reasons as there are blogs, but my blogging was originally a creative outlet and a place to showcase my crazy cats, hopefully bringing someone else a smile. It is still very much that, but has also become a passion and a great place to share pet information, pet products I love, and most importantly, spreading the word about great causes, organizations, and charities that are helping animals.
We have BlogPaws to thank for surveying a plethora of pet bloggers and putting together a nifty infographic to clear up some of these pressing questions.
Do you buy any pet products online? What type?
I am happy I saved this to read later! Very interesting and I now know why I am so tired. My time to work is in the early morning – no reason since I have all day, but I am up early and usually ready to get things done. How's that working for me? Better than nighttime, but I still never get enough done!
thanks for sharing the info 96% I believe it I'd give all to frankie and the boys have a great day and thanks for the party
Such fascinating statistics! I agree with Crepes — that 96% figure just about sums up what we've suspected about pet bloggers. 🙂
Because they're not "pets", they're family. I'm sure most would go without or borrow to feed their kids.
Very interesting stats! It really is difficult to find the time to research, take pictures, blog, AND follow and comment on everyone else's blogs. It's tough to find the balance, which is what I'm struggling with right now. I could easily spend hours and hours every day commenting and engaging with other's blogs – and I sometimes do! But you're right – if that's all I did, there would be no blog.
Will there ever be balance? Still searching
haha! This is going to be in one of my upcoming posts as well! BOL!!!! Night time is my main time also. With a 3 year old and a 10 yr (daughters) and my 3 huskies AND my 3 kitties, I tend to be quite busy throughout the day! haha!!
SO I know how you feel!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
You seem to keep up so well (at least to me!) and WOW! You have a lot on your plate! Or a lot of plates..
Funny thing is that I buy much more for myself online than for the cats. So easy to shop that way when you are handicapped.
Dad Pete
I do as well. Also easier than dragging small kids around
A fascinating breakdown. 96% is a great number to know that so many bloggers love their pets enough to go without to help them. – Crepes.
I've found pet bloggers to be some of the most giving and caring people!
