What the _ Cat?!

June 5, 2014 by L. E. Mastilock

Max ran out back and started barking. A moment later a blur of white and grey came streaking through the dog door, bounded up and skidded across the dining room table then onto the cabinet. Finally stopping to settle into a box containing all my son’s final schoolwork.

It was only then I noticed he was dripping wet! As was the pile of papers he was perched on- sorry teacher, my homework was soaked by a cat.

I got a towel and scrubbed him down wondering what could have happened. At first I thought he must have jumped off the fence right into the baby pool (I wouldn’t put that past him), but I realized only one half of him was wet and his feet were pretty dry.

He must have been hosed down by a neighbor. I don’t feel sorry for him. I’m sure he deserved every bit of it, knowing the mischief he gets into; the little Rascal.

Here are some more animals causing trouble. Love this video compilation!!

I guess that there are much worse things the neighbor could have sprayed him with but my cats always hated to get wet! Glad it wasn't a skunk like Maggie experienced!

My dripping wet cat showed up at the back door years ago. I was mystified because it wasn't raining… When I opened the door I discovered that he had been skunked!

Oh yuck! I may have let him become an outdoor only cat, at least until he smelled better. Okay, I would have tried bathing him first, I'm not completely heartless, but yuck!

Causing trouble is just in the genes of dogs and cats.
