When you have a cat, you’d best watch your step. You never know when he’s going to dive underfoot. Most likely it will be when your hands are full and you can’t see down to your toes through whatever you’re carrying. I’m not sure if they think it’s hilarious or the cat really does want to kill you. If I’m carrying food, I know it’s an attempt to get a nibble.
The other day I was just walking along, through my kitchen, minding my own business, when suddenly a cat throws himself down right in front of my feet.
I can see you want a belly rub, but I almost stepped right on you and did a face plant! Lets not kill each other in the process, please.

It is quite a balancing act when one of mine scoots underfoot or is planted where I can’t get through. Unfortunately, I have done my share of stepping on the poor things. Of course, then I have to apologize profusely. They are pretty forgiving most of the time.

I have had my fair share of apologizing, too. They’re quicker to forgive with an offering!
Oh yeah, I’ve been known to get underfoot a time or two. In fact, just the other day I heard mom swear because I apparently got in her way and made her step on me. Why don’t they watch where they’re going??
The same thing happens in our canine household. I swear those dogs are determined to upend me yet! Watch your step! ?
That looks like an attack gone terribly wrong! And you caught the whole thing on film. How embarrassing!

Happy Pet Parade and weekend.. And be careful where you walk.
We are just trying to test Mommy’s balance. Mommy says she would prefer less testing and more walking without a moving obstacle course.
Yep, we seem to get under foot all the time…so the mom says. We think she should just walk somewhere else. 😀
Hello! I am stopping by, after linking to Wordless Wednesday. I love my fur babies so much that I could not resist your post. Tooooooooo cute! You have a purrfect post. ? My cat does the same thing, but my husband thinks she is intentionally trying to trip us.
MOL! My human is so glad I don’t do that – she’s had cats that do!
That’s hilarious! While they don’t throw themselves down on the floor, dachshunds seem to get in the way a lot too 😉 A lot of the time when I’m at the computer, Mini will lay next to my chair right under were my feet go and when I start to get up, I have to make sure not to step on her!
Oh no! Lucky for us humans at Eastside Cats, neither Angel nor Chuck try the ‘trip your human’ trick, but Patty O’Malley, one of The ‘O’ Cats surely does! He throws himself down wherever I am, or stops dead in his tracks as I walk behind him. If I’m carrying food bowls, he’ll wait until he steps up onto the feeding station, then head-butt my hands! I’ve clunked his noggin many times, and he’s made me spill his (and Sweetie’s) dinner a few times.
When I saw the title, I was thinking about liquid or semi-liquid stuff…on the floor…lol!
Max, the dog, loves to walk ahead of me and then stop suddenly! Don’t know how many times I’ve tripped over him
Yes! Every day at both breakfast and dinner, Frank wrassles with Dori and Candy, flipping them on their backs and putting love bites on their throats while they squeal with delight–directly under my feet while I’m dishing out kitty cuisine. Sounds risque, but it’s a ritual that’s been going on for a couple years now.
They still think you might drop that kitty food and they’ll get to it faster!
