How do you remember when to give your dog medication?
I protect my dog year round from fleas and ticks and for so long I had to remember to apply medication each and every month. I would write on the calendar the day I gave him his dose, but even then I often had a hard time remembering just how long it had been or he would be past due before I would think of it again.

Here are a few tips to remembering to give your dog medicine that may help you
- Write it on your calendar or planner each time you give your dog medication
- Write on your calendar the next date that medication is due
- My favorite: Use an easy to see sticker for the date the next dosage is due
- Set a reminder on your phone calendar
- Use a medication reminder app
- Use a pet medication reminder app or pet medication email reminder (there are free ones)
Why I no longer need to worry about this
As I said, I used to give my dog flea and tick medication monthly. A month goes by fast and it was always a struggle to remember to give him his dose on time. With BRAVECTO® (fluralaner), flea and tick prevention lasts 12 weeks* so I only need to worry about giving max his dose approximately every 3 months. That’s only about 4 times a year! That is so much less to remember! BRAVECTO is a chewable flea and tick preventative prescribed by your veterinarian that kills fleas and ticks within just a few hours of ingesting. BRAVECTO flea prevention is for dogs older than 6 months.
Stickers are included in the package!
I placed one on my calendar on the day I gave Max his first dose.
After each dose, I count out 12 weeks and place another sticker on that date. It’s clear and easy to see from the moment I flip my calendar to the month Max will be due for his next tasty flea and tick killing treat! I have never forgotten a dose since starting BRAVECTO. It’s easy to remember, easy to give because it’s a chewable, and leaves your dog flea free and tick free! I haven’t been so impressed with any other flea or tick preventative for dogs and I highly recommend it!
*BRAVECTO kills fleas, prevents flea infestation, and kills ticks (black-legged tick, American dog tick, and brown dog tick) for 12 weeks. BRAVECTO also kills lone star ticks for 8 weeks.
Ask your veterinarian about protecting against fleas and ticks with BRAVECTO®.
Fleas and ticks are a problem all year round, not just in the cold moths. I just found a tick on Max after he had been out running through tall grass. It didn’t bite, it was just on the outside of his fur, so I brushed it right off before we headed inside. I was so grateful that Max was protected!
Ticks can carry diseases. Take a look at the Tick Identifier on MyPet.com to learn about diseases ticks can carry and the to identify types of ticks in your area and be sure to follow Merck Animal Health on Twitter for the latest info on tick prevention.

Thanks so much for this app! Bruisy is on pred this week and I’m tapering it off — I keep a notebook and a schedule in my Google calendar but I need something more efficient – love this app.
So glad I could help find something that works better for you. Bruisy is lucky to have someone taking such good care of him
