Welcome to Monday Matters– Spread awareness to help important causes and start your week off right by making a difference each Monday, even if that is just to pin, tweet, or share to pass this information on.
Are you familiar with Project Breathe?
What is Project Breathe?
Project Breathe™ is a pet oxygen donation mask program. Project Breathe Week comes from the Project Breathe Program formed by The Invisible Fence Brand, headquartered in Tennessee. This week Invisible Fence is going to donate 200 life-saving pet oxygen masks to fire departments all across the state of Tennessee!
Around 40,000 to 150,000 pets die in fires each year. Most succumb to smoke inhalation. In most states, emergency responders lack the equipment to resuscitate and save pets. Each Project Breathe kit includes a small, medium, and large mask; fire departments are eligible to receive one kit per station. So far, the program has saved an estimated 10,000 pets from fires and smoke inhalation. The Project Breathe Program goal is to ensure that every fire department and rescue unit is equipped with life-saving pet oxygen masks. You can help by spreading the word!
Other ways to help:
- You can tell your fire station how to request a mask kit
- Make a donation.
- Follow and share with Invisible Fence on Facebook or Twitter
