Is this kitty royalty?
He acts like it.
Rocco is so picky when it comes to his food. I feed the boys every morning, like I have a choice, they don’t let me forget! I started separating them while they eat because Rascal will devour his food as fast as he can and then scarf Rocco’s food down, too!
Now I give them their bowls in separate places to give Rocco, the dainty eater, time to decide if he even wants to eat. He demands breakfast, but once I serve him he likes to stare at it for a while, then sniff it. He might take a lick, but more often then not, he will not even eat the food set in front of him.
I think he might come back to it eventually if his greedy brother didn’t down it before he could get the chance.
Sometimes he’ll eat it, but very few brands are really to his liking. I’m not sure what he expects, but obviously most cat foods are just not up to snuff for him.
Like all you pet loving friends, I want the best nutrition for my cats and it worries me when he’s not eating. As big as he is, that’s probably a silly worry! It’s not the amount of food, though, but the quality. I worry if he’s getting the nutrients he needs. I like to provide variety and I’ve been thinking about what healthy cat food to try next when I received a package that answered the question for me!
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Nature’s Logic®. All opinions are my own.
What was in the package?
It contained a bag of Nature’s Logic® 100% natural Feline Turkey Meal Feast dry cat food and some Nature’s Logic 100% natural canned cat food, in rabbit and sardine flavors.
I was excited to let my cats try it, especially after I read up on it and learned:
- Nature’s Logic is the only full line of pet food with no synthetic vitamins or minerals
- All of their pet foods are 100% natural
- No GMOs
- and free of common allergens such as wheat, corn, and soy
- No ingredients come from China
- Probiotics and digestive enzymes are added for healthy digestion
- Comes in many protein varieties for rotation
Sounds like complete, natural nutrition, which I’m all for! But, would His Royal Highness appreciate it? Would he turn up his nose at the good stuff? Maybe kitty junk food is all he really wants?
Once out of the box, Rocco immediately came over to smell the bag of food, which is unusual. Normally, he’ll wait till I walk away. Must smell pretty good! If you’re a cat. I opened the bag and poured some food in a bowl for him. Rascal wasn’t inside or he would have shoved his brother out of the way already.
He took a taste
And another. and another! He likes it!
The next morning I opened up a cat of Nature’s Logic natural wet cat food. Rascal tucked in immediately. He seemed to be trying to break a speed eating record! No class here.
I think Rocco must approve of eating elsewhere so he can eat in a more dignified manner. I brought him his bowl and he did his usual stare, sniff, stare, then taste. He sat up and waited for me to go away. I don’t blame him. I don’t like being watched while I’m eating either. He did eat his food! And later he went back and had some more Nature’s Logic natural dry food.
Both cats’ enjoyed the taste of Nature’s Logic pet food. I’m so glad to have a food we both love!
I love that it is a quality natural cat food that I can feel good about, knowing my kitties are getting the nutrition they need.
I look for a short ingredient list, no plants, no thickeners, finding one has been hard
Yes! And the first ingredient had better be meat
Glad you found something Prince Rocco likes to eat and that it is really healthy too. Most of my rescued kids are not furry picky.
I like how Nature’s Logic is grain free. I have several cats on a grain free diet due to allergies and they do so much better on grain free that I am switching all my cats to a grain free food. I recently found out that Costco’s Kirkland is grain free at the best price I can afford too.
However, my two oldest girls are really picky about their canned food. They are both small and only like to eat a little bit at a time. I find it hard to get something that will please both of them. They both like Rachel Rays Tuna though.
Tuna is always a hit with both my kitties!
We can be picky, but this food looks pretty yummy. We may need to try it.
Sounds yummy!
