This amazing program is helping animals get adopted.
It used to be that when an animal is found and put into a shelter, only the few who happened to come into that shelter might see that particular animal. What if the right person or family didn’t come to that shelter? They can’t keep that animal forever.

They began taking and sharing photos. With the speed of technology, the shelter could now post photos online for millions to see. However, sad looking, shabby animals, in cages and or bad light, sorry to say, are just not appealing to most people searching for the perfect pet.
Then a couple pet photographers began taking better photos, photos that showed an animals beauty and personality and more pets were getting adopted!
Now there is a great program that is changing the way we share and view shelter animal photos all over and is getting more and more of them adopted faster!

Their wonderful mission:
In
the United States, approximately three to four million pets are
euthanized in animal shelters each year – help us make that zero.

I totally agree, good pictures really capture the personality and the love!
Good photos do make a difference.
What a great idea! Every animal has a story that needs to be told!
pics are worth a thousand words and more effective thanks for sharing have a great day
Great concept. Found you on BlogPaws! Just wanted to drop by and say Hi
This is such a good idea. Good photos and actually telling as much as you can about the cat make a big difference. The head peep is frustrated when there is a Petfinder ad with no text at all about the cat, or even worse, a special needs flag on the listing but no explanation about what the need might be.
Hi, I love the betterphotossavemorelives idea – and I heard if a cat is given a name that's a little more fancy or exotic than Speckle or Tiger, people seem to get more interested in them.
thanks for commenting on my blog

A good picture can make a huge difference.
Yes! It doesn't take much to get a half-way decent photo and I totally agree with this. And they are much better than the ones of animals looking all sad in cages…
Yep, most of the before pics you can hardly see the animal.
This is so true. A good picture can make the difference. When the mom saw my picture on Petfinder.com, she laughed…because it wasn't the best…but she still sought me out…and adopted me! Maybe my funny looking picture wasn't so bad after all!
Ernie
so glad she gave your funny face a loving home!
What a difference a great picture can make.
