Golden Gate Basset Hound Rescue
Golden Gate Basset Rescue (GGBR) rescues Basset Hounds from abusive, abandoned and unwanted situations. GGBR takes orphaned bassets into foster care, usually in volunteer homes, where they are loved and cared for until permanent homes can be found. They provide veterinary care and are microchipping. The volunteers spend time with the dogs to evaluate them, deal with any behavioral issues, and restore them to full health with good food and love so they are amazing dogs to adopt.
Not just in San Francisco
They help dogs across California, from the Oregon boarder to the central coast as far south as Monterey and East to Reno, NV. They will help you find organizations in other areas and help if you are needing to surrender a Basset or looking to adopt as well as other resources on their site; ggbassetrescue.org.
Get involved
There are many ways to get involved with this wonderful organization. You can adopt, become a member, foster, transport, volunteer, shop the GGBR store, and more.
