Fat Pet? So what?

Is Happiness a Full Tummy? #HillsPet

A full animal is a happy animal right?

Actually a little extra weight on your dog or cat can have a big impact on their quality of life. As smaller beings than us humans, just a little excess fat can be a bigger deal than you may realize. And with fur, it’s sometimes hard to tell just how overweight cats or dogs are. It can lead to serious health problems and overall lack of health.

For some tips on how to know if your pet is overweight and what you can do about it, see my post: Is Your Pet Excessively Fluffy?

You like to feel healthy don’t you?

And have the energy and ability to do the things you like to do? Your pets do, too.
When your body is in good shape you generally feel happier and have a more cheerful outlook on life. You’re most likely in a better mood and your relationships are improved. The same is true with animals who are also very social beings.

Check out Bear’s story

A new dog food designed for weight loss for dogs, put quality back into his life for himself and his human.

As Bear’s pet parent said in the video, “I gained a friend”, when our pets feel good, it’s like getting our old friend back again.

Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution has formulas both in cat food and dog food, complete with wet food, dry food, and treats, too!

This new pet food solution provides clinically proven nutrition that naturally activates metabolism
to burn calories and regulate appetite. Even after weight loss is achieved, the highly efficient energy metabolism profile is maintained and your pet’s quality of life and relationship with your family is improved because that extra weight reduces play time, impacts mobility, and affects the lifelong general health of your pet.

There have been many success stories already for both cats and dogs looking slimmer and feeling younger!

Our little dudes lost a bunch of weight on the raw diet. They're all slim and svelte now! Which is good because they looked like blimps before – we just didn't notice until we fostered some kittens and realized just HOW overweight they were! WEight is so important!

This sounds like a great food for helping cats lose weight. We're fortunate…right now…that we are at okay weights and don't need it. 🙂
