I was just going to come down stairs and Rocco came up to the top to meow at me.
His long, loud meows startled me. Couldn’t he hear that I was up and getting ready to come down?
Obviously I was not nearly fast enough, so he thought he’d come speed up the process with his yowling.
Wondering what is the best cat food? I only give my boys healthy dry cat food and wet cat food and prefer natural pet food. We got a new bag to try and the cat’s couldn’t wait to get a mouth full.
Alright, alright! I’m coming! Poor fat cat. You’d think no one ever fed you! Oh, I know, it’s just fluff, sorry.
I finally came down stairs, Rocco had sped ahead of me, almost tripping me on the way down, and zipped into the kitchen before me. As I turned the corner, there were both boys, with greedy looks, practically drooling, sitting on the counter and boring a hole in my head with their eyes! Maybe I need to get an automatic timed cat feeder? I have the feeling they’d still wake me up to wait on them.
It must take a lot out of them trying to use telepathy on a pathetic human who doesn’t even understand that sunrise clearly means: feed cats immediately, before all else.
I grabbed their bowl and scooped it full of dry cat food. Rascal had previously discovered the new bag of food and had taken the time to sniff every inch of it.
Only the best for my fur babies. Even though they’re a tad obnoxious.
When I adopted them they were very fat, with kitty acne, dander, and their coats lacked the luster they quickly got back once they were on a
healthy diet.
I had started them off with a healthy weight formula, but now that they are both healthy, I’ve recently switched to a regular adult cat formula. They love the taste of by Nature, and I love knowing that I’m giving them nutritious, all natural food, with no corn, wheat, or soy and lots of added vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I always check to see if the first ingredient of any pet food is meat before I buy it.
Is it just these cats or do yours do this too?
They make the biggest mess while eating!
Food falls from their mouths all over the counter and as if that wasn’t enough, sometimes they scoop it out of the bowl with a paw before eating it. I had a perfect shot here of Rocco eating some food he had dropped on the counter. Now, I don’t know if Rascal was just jealous of not being in the spot light, or if it was that Rocco was eating without him, but right when I clicked the camera, he came leaping across the counter right in front! I took a few more, but this was really the clearest picture I could get and has a blurry Rascal butt and tail in it. I could have cropped it out, but it was too funny not to share!
All my other pics were blurry. Can’t they hold still, pose, and smile for the camera? Oh, I almost forgot…
it’s not about me. I just live to feed them.
You eat on the counter ?!
Me I have to eat on the floor !!
My mom-person say´s I should tell you that I do eat from a bowl NOT from the floor.
Only due to small kids and a dog. I'd prefer they made that mess on the floor!
Our bowls are on the floor ; I (Loupi) am able to eat any kind of food like a gentleman, but it's a big mess when Zorro is eating. Mum knows at the first look who has eaten ! Purrs
That's too funny! Their bowls used to be on the floor, but small kids and a dog let to the need to move them up. I miss having a clean counter!
TW says I'm a sloppy eater too. I take a mouthful of stinky goodness over to the rug and drop it there to eat it. I've read that a completely dry diet is bad for cats, especially male cats that can develop crystals cos they're not getting the liquid they need.
Yes, they get wet food daily, too. I agree cats need it to get enough liquids in their diet!
only to keep dogs and kids out of their food, the humans don't like it since they're so messy!
You get to eat on the counter? Lucky cats! We have to eat in separate rooms, and most of those rooms don't have counters.
