Does your cat wake you up in the morning?
If so, how? (please comment below)
Rascal wakes me Every. Single. Morning.
Maybe he really will keel over and die if I don’t get out of bed at first light and feed him, but somehow I find that hard to believe. I think he will live. He always has dry food and water available. No, I know he will live. But, there is no ignoring him, believe me, I’ve tried. He doesn’t give up.
He comes in my room and meows loudly, over and over and over and over…again. I bury my head in the covers, but he will sit on my head and suffocate me! I pull those covers up over my head yet, he will reach a paw in and prick me with his claws! I have tried just plain ignoring him for up to an hour before, but, he will sit on my back or chest and eventually bite me on the nose or ear! Wherever he can make contact. Neither does he understand the sacredness of sleeping in on a Saturday!
The worst part is, after I get up to feed him and his brother, he immediately goes upstairs to sleep the rest of the day!
He is evil. Plain evil.
I like my sleep. It’s not like I sleep in super late, I just really like to sleep past ‘O Dark Thirty’ and wake to the sun already streaming in the windows. I really don’t think it’s too much to ask of someone who provides for all your needs!
I have also tried closing my door, but that doesn’t work, either. Rascal will claw the door all night long. Morning too. And he will meow so loudly, no one is able to sleep anywhere in the house. I should have named him Obnoxious. Master Obnoxious.
Master Obnoxious got to chow down on some new food this morning, the spoiled little brat.

I absolutely love Werva’s natural kitty litter and they were kind enough to send me some of their new canned cat food and kitty cat food pouches. The boys have tried the pouches before and love them. They are grain free and full of natural cat nutrition! They are so easy to open and pour, no need to fuss with a can opener, a good thing since my cats were not patient, they couldn’t wait for me to open up one of those tasty cat food pouches!
My cats love them, of course Rascal, being the rascal that he is, often pushes Rocco out of the way and eats both of their helpings! I don’t know why Rocco puts up with him.
Anyway, this time they also got to try the new Weruva TRULUXE canned cat food. It has an easy open tab, so still no need to fiddle with a can opener (I guess I have a thing about not wanting to use a can opener while I’m still half asleep). The food is also grain free and packed with real proteins from chicken, tuna, grass fed beef, and duck as well as veggies. I could even see the sweet potato and carrot pieces in the food.
The boys didn’t leave a speck of food in the bottom of their bowls. They literally licked it up! I’m happy that they enjoyed the food and that it comes from a company I can trust to include only the best natural ingredients and who I know care about the health of my fur babies.
Obnoxious or not, I do care that my cats eat well.
Even if they don’t deserve it.

MOL! That is nit evil, just purrsistant! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Well, you don’t need an alarm clock!
We can’t get my human out of bed any earlier than she wants to get up! Rascal must have better human waking mojo than we do.
