Best Selling Cat Book is Helping Animal Rescues!
And I’m a part of it!
It’s my turn!!! Finally!
In 2014 I found out that in January of 2015 my story would be published in a book! For the past year amazing animals have been promoting this wonderful anthology, one author each month because for that month the profits would benefit the animal charity of their choice.
Well, guess what? This is our month!
One full year later and I finally get to share my excitement!
Holiday gift money burning a hole in your pocket? Not sure where to spend it?
If you haven’t had the pleasure, purchase the book Rescued: The Stories of 12 Cats, Through Their Eyes.
The heart warming stories of rescue and love will not only melt your heart, your purchase this month benefits the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
This shelter has helped thousands of animals and is special to me because it is the shelter where I have adopted multiple animals from in my life. My parents took me there many times when I was small and we would visit the animals waiting for homes. It helped foster a deep love of animals and appreciation for the people who work so hard to keep shelters running and care for the unwanted.
As an adult the first place I looked to adopt a pet was the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. My first baby, Cowboy, who grew into a 90 lb Rot-shepherd and later, our much smaller dog, Max, found their way home to us through this shelter. The people there are compassionate and care deeply for each animal that comes through their doors. Our cats were also adopted; you can read their story for yourself in the book.
Rescued is a top seller on Amazon
As well as the winner for best new compilations/anthologies at the San Francisco Book Festival 2015 and Holiday Book Festival 2015!
If you haven’t read it, now is the time to purchase while proceeds still go to animal charities! This wonderful book makes the perfect gift for any animal lover.
Rascal is absolutely in love with this book and so thrilled to be one of the authors!
In his story, ‘Twice Disrupted‘, he tells the story of how he and his brother Rocco came to live here in our home and all that happened to them before they were adopted. If it was not for shelters like the one we’re dedicating our sales to this month, I never would have found them to bring them home.
Support local animal rescues and enjoy this wonderful collection of stories that demonstrate that there is still human kindness in our world.
