I made it to exceedingly hot Sunny Arizona on Wednesday!
Rascal was either afraid I would miss the plane or upset that I was going to leave him behind. He woke me up with a swipe to the nose with one claw! He’s lucky I didn’t pick him up and throw him out the window (I would never, but thought went through my mind). Maybe he needed to mark me before I left so everyone would know who I belonged to.
Thanks a lot, cat. This’ll look great with on red carpet.
Oh well, I covered it with make up the best I could.
Rocco helped me pack by making sure everything had a nice thick layer of cat hair on it before I was done.
This is the view from my room. Pretty sweet, huh?
Life has been ever more hectic. I’m in the middle of selling my current home and trying to buy another. I was hoping this process would be complete before the Blogpaws Conference, but alas, my first day at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, AZ was spent alone in my hotel room making calls and sending emails. When it comes to getting a mortgage, things need to be done yesterday!
It hasn’t all been solo going. I connected with my roomie right away at the airport, can you guess who that might be?
The fabulous Paula Gregg of Sweet Purrfections, of course! These are her flat cats of Truffle and Brulee. I rode from the airport with her and Amy Shojai author and co-founder of the Cat Writer’s Association, of which I’m recently a member.
Wow, my first in person greetings were two amazing people I highly look up to in the blogging and writing world!
Even with the added stress of my housing situation, this has already been worth the trip!
More updates to come and if you’re here at Blogpaws somewhere, hope to see you!
Okay, the comment about marking you had me giggling 🙂
Yum! Scrumptuous view with aqua pool! Thanks for sharing your experiences. Looking forward to more! (I also think Rocco was absolutely right in sharing his valuable cat hairs while you were packing).
Your view looks lovely. Good luck with the mortgage and we think the scratch adds character.
My human was thrilled to meet you in person! I hope I get to also, soon!
I was so excited to meet her as well! I’ll look for you later. Hope the dogs are not causing you any stress. I know you can handle the people.
