7 Ways to Show Your Cat You Love Him #HillsPet

May 20, 2014 by L. E. Mastilock

When you feed your pet meals and treats, you feel like you’re giving them love.

But what if you’re overfeeding your dog, or even giving your cat unhealthy snacks?

I make sure my cats and dog have healthy pet food and rarely even give out treats. Not so much because I don’t want to worry about overweight dogs or needing to find cat weight loss regimes, I just don’t think about it. Perhaps it’s because they are exasperating and subconsciously I don’t feel the little fiends deserve it?

My husband more than makes up for that, though. He not only gives out one treat, he gives a whole handful! Maybe I need to hide those cat treats. Hmm.

Anyway, not giving treats can feel like you’re withholding love itself.

With Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution, it’s not about withholding. This new system even includes treats! And you don’t have to have exact measurements at feeding time to see results, this is a big plus if you have a partner like mine who thinks the animals are starving if their bowls are empty.

You can feel confident giving your overweight dogs or overweight cats healthy meals and special treats as well, while helping them lead healthier lives. In turn they’ll have more energy, feel better, and live longer. Isn’t that what we all want? At least if we truly love our pets?

So stop searching for diets for dogs and weight loss for cats, just feed the little fur balls healthy food, and find other ways to express your love.

Maybe I should make my husband read this: Feed your pet with love, not excess.

Thanks for sharing this article, it is very helpful in nourishing a strong bond between the cat owners and their cats. A good cleaned litter box is also useful for your cat to stay happy and healthy.

Such an important message. I just read that an over-weight pet will lose approximately 2 years off their life. I definately want those two years with my guys.
I hope you were able to finally get your coffee. No one would ever try that around here … they know not to mess with Mom's coffee. It could get ugly!

Oh no! That's quite a lot. I'll be even more concerned about my pets' health! No, no one has learned to leave my coffee alone. And that was after I had fed him. grumble, grumble..

Sounds like you have a great mommy who takes good care of you. Yes, that music was too intense, sorry, I fixed the video so it won't start on it's own.

The music for that video scared me, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where in Feedly it was coming from. LOL.
